Graduate Engineer assisting with SIRO Network planning and installation. Supporting engineering team with New Development projects in Dublin area in a hybrid work setting.
Responsibilities
Assisting with finding/acquiring POP location and the design (incorporating the Metro Connection) & deployment where required
Assisting with planning, design and install of SIRO Network in New Developments in assigned area
Work with multidisciplinary team to establish what homes are available for passing each month in your area and driving the contractors on to get each one passed on time
Responsible for establishing the 1st Occupancy Date for New Devs
Manage build stage 1 – 3 and contribute to reports on contractor productivity
Assist with the planning and coordinate various activities to ensure SIRO are 1st to site and on time to connect new homes
Participate in quality and safety reviews for works completed on site
Assist internal and external resources in managing access to ESB infrastructure, wayleaves, consenting and relationships with all stakeholders
Build close relationships with ESB, Council, Site Managers, Developers, Contractors to ensure smooth transition from design through build, handover and take up
Assist in developing business cases for New Dev opportunities that are off net for SIRO
Liaise daily with new development team to ensure that the stages of delivery of each site is on track
Encourage customer uptake
Assist with negotiation of lease agreements with landlords and liaise with internal and external legal teams
Assist with negotiations on duct access agreements with new providers
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or similar related discipline
Knowledge of the telecommunications market, carriers, service providers an advantage
Knowledge of planning and design tools such as AutoCAD, G-Technology Fibre Optic Works, ArcGIS etc.
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work both on own initiative and as a team player
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Clean Drivers license
