About the role
- HSE Engineer responsible for health and safety policies in battery manufacturing. Overseeing risk analysis, safety training, and compliance with industrial regulations.
Responsibilities
- Day-to-day Health & Safety management
- Update the Single Risk Assessment Document (DUERP) and the associated action plan
- Identify and analyze risks related to R&D activities and battery laboratories
- Investigate accidents, incidents and near-misses; report and monitor work-related accidents and occupational diseases (AT/MP)
- Conduct safety inductions for new personnel (R&D staff, technicians, interns)
- Develop and monitor the safety training plan (chemical, electrical, fire, occupational first aid - SST)
- Manage fire, explosion and gas release hazards
- Manage chemical inventory
- Coordinate regulatory inspections/checks (electrical systems, ventilation, lifting equipment, fire extinguishers, etc.)
- Manage hazardous waste and ensure regulatory traceability
Requirements
- Bachelor's to Master's degree (Bac+3 to Bac+5) in HSE / QHSE / Industrial Risk Management
- Minimum 5 years' experience in an industrial environment
- Experience with ICPE (installations classified for environmental protection) strongly preferred
- Knowledge of lithium-related risks and industrial environments
- Autonomous; able to work independently
- Familiarity with the French Labor Code and ICPE regulations
- Proficiency with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards
- Risk analysis skills
- Fire safety management and chemical risk management
- Experience conducting HSE internal audits
