About the role
- Emulation Engineer at SiPearl developing high-performance CPUs for AI, HPC, and data centres. Key responsibilities include emulation setup, workflows, and user support within the R&D team.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to emulation setup: Participate in capturing emulation needs and help define emulator configurations.
- Support compilation, execution, and debugging flows.
- Support RTL adaptation for emulation: Assist in identifying and documenting required RTL changes and related collaterals needed for emulation.
- Participate in verification activities: Contribute to the pre-silicon verification effort by supporting the emulation environment and validation activities.
- Develop and maintain emulation workflows: Contribute to the development and maintenance of emulation workflows and help integrate hardware and software collaterals.
- Improve and automate workflows: Implement improvements and develop scripts/tools to facilitate debugging and improve the user experience.
- Generate and maintain emulation models: Use EDA tools to build and maintain emulation models, debug issues, and help optimize execution performance and model size.
- Interact with tool vendors: Report issues, follow up on resolutions, and test fixes or new features provided by EDA vendors.
- Provide user support: Assist engineers using the emulation platform, help troubleshoot issues, and propose practical solutions or workarounds.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of digital ASIC
- At least 4 years of experience on emulation plateform
- Good knowledge on modern CPU architecture
- Experience using verification tools
- Experience with embedded C, Python, HDL, bash
