Engineer for Strategic Network Planning ensuring reliable energy supply in Potsdam. Developing strategic concepts and managing infrastructure for electricity, gas, and water networks.
Responsibilities
Develop the strategic target network plans for electrical networks (110 kV, 10 kV, 0.4 kV).
Design network topology.
Plan interconnections of assets such as local substations, transformer stations, pumping stations and heat transfer stations.
Review and evaluate networks and connected customers based on the network model with planned extensions.
Create and update network models using state-of-the-art simulation and network calculation software.
Derive measures to improve efficiency and promote digital transformation of the electrical networks.
Plan the strategic development of the data network.
Requirements
Successfully completed degree, at least a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a comparable field.
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience.
Ideally experienced in strategic target network planning, construction, or operation of electricity distribution networks.
Proficiency with network calculation tools such as PowerFactory.
Ability to interpret laws, regulations and technical standards.
Experience with SAP or GIS is an advantage.
Visionary thinking and enjoyment in acting as a mentor and initiator.
