About the role

  • Planning Engineer delivering short- and medium-term planning and scheduling at Gold Fields. Collaborating across departments to support key projects aligned with operational mining schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the rolling 18-month mining schedule in line with budget requirements
  • Assist with budget schedule preparation
  • Ensure mine plans consider ventilation, infrastructure and paste fill needs
  • Prepare stope designs, level plan layouts, and mining instructions aligned with operational mining schedule
  • Create infrastructure plans and schedules aligned with mining interactions and budget constraints
  • Provide planning guidance to Production and support weekly scheduling
  • Collaborate across departments to support key projects

Requirements

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Mining Engineering, or a related discipline
  • WA First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate (completed or ability to obtain)
  • Strong underground engineering experience, ideally in gold
  • Proficiency in MS Office and mining software (Deswik CAD, Deswik Scheduler, Ventsim)
  • Manual Driver’s license
