About the role

  • Senior Key Account Manager overseeing engagement with Loblaws/Shoppers Drug Mart Category Manager teams. Building strong partnerships and executing joint business plans with a leading brand.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for Loblaws/Shoppers Drug Mart, working closely with all divisional category teams to develop and implement sales strategies
  • Deliver annual sales, distribution, and profit targets by negotiating effective promotional spend with ROI mindset, and effective trade spend management
  • Develop and execute annual joint business strategies that align with the companies brand strategy and identify all opportunities for category growth within Loblaws/Shoppers Drug Mart across all divisions
  • Lead the implementation of internal trade marketing strategies, off-shelf display opportunities, and any seasonal programs with each of the divisions
  • Monitor each divisions performance using sales data, market insights, and portals to track progress and make informed recommendations
  • Develop best practices and discipline around forecasting using all reports and trend analysis available from internal departments as well as customer POS data and customer demand planning reports
  • Foster strong, multi-level relationships with key contacts at all divisions and internal teams
  • Support the launch of new products and innovation to secure listings in each division
  • Represent brands including One Degree Organic Foods, Little Northern Bakehouse, Silver Hills Sprouted Bakery, The Grain Escape and Carbonaut at various trade shows

  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • You have excellent computer skills including MS Office Suite, MacOS, and more
  • Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • You have 7-10 years’ as a Key Account Manager calling on Loblaws Head Office
  • Experience directly managing Natural categories preferred, also having Shoppers Drug Mart Key Account Management experience is an asset
  • Experience in understanding and managing P&L, and making profitable decisions to achieve both internal and customer objectives mutually
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment
