- Understanding of fundamental hardware concepts: disk, memory, CPU, NIC, HBA, firmware, RAID, performance concepts
- Strong understanding of essential TCP/IP concepts
- Experience connecting storage arrays to Hypervisor Technologies (NUTANIX, VMWARE VCF, OpenStack)
- Understanding of security best practices and federal hardening requirements
- CompTIA Security+ or similar certification for IAT Level II DoD 8570 compliance
- Proficient written and oral communication skills
