About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative and effective solutions for our DoD customers within the IC sector
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver impactful results for mission goals
  • Engage in the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of storage systems

Requirements

  • Hands-on engineering experience with NetApp and other storage technologies
  • Knowledge of protocols such as S3, CIFS, NFS, iSCI, and Fiber Channel Block Storage (SAN)
  • Experience with capacity planning and sizing storage and backup environments
  • Experience in performance tuning and optimizing storage and backup environments
  • Experience with data center migrations and storage replication technologies
  • Senior-level experience with design, development, implementation, and maintenance of large-scale systems
  • Strong understanding of high availability concepts and implementation of key components in storage environments
  • Understanding of fundamental hardware concepts: disk, memory, CPU, NIC, HBA, firmware, RAID, performance concepts
  • Strong understanding of essential TCP/IP concepts
  • Experience connecting storage arrays to Hypervisor Technologies (NUTANIX, VMWARE VCF, OpenStack)
  • Understanding of security best practices and federal hardening requirements
  • CompTIA Security+ or similar certification for IAT Level II DoD 8570 compliance
  • Proficient written and oral communication skills
  • Strong collaborative attitude and ability to work in a team environment
