About the role
- Data Center Engineer handling critical infrastructure including monitoring and managing data center components. Working at Xecuro GmbH in Berlin, contributing to secure digitization solutions.
Responsibilities
- Setup, operation and monitoring of data center infrastructure and the IT systems installed there (cabling, racks, servers, networks, storage systems)
- Execution and control of change and configuration management processes in a 24x7 operating model
- Execution, coordination and monitoring of predefined workflows according to work orders
- Scheduling and execution of access and entry controls
- Analysis, documentation and resolution of incidents or escalation to the relevant IT support teams
Requirements
- Completed IT training, e.g., IT specialist (Fachinformatiker) or systems electronics technician (Systemelektroniker), or comparable technical training; alternatively, relevant professional experience in the stated field
- Practical experience operating data center components and in the WAN/carrier domain; experience with DWDM components is advantageous
- Experience running data centers, including associated power systems and access control systems, as well as cable management and hardware installation
- Knowledge of monitoring tools and DCIM systems
- Confident in working with English-language vendor/manufacturer documentation
- Reliable, self-reliant and structured work approach, strong communication skills, commitment and team spirit
- Willingness to work shifts in a 24x7 operating environment
