About the role

  • People Business Partner driving People strategy and development for a growing HR team at Semgrep. Partnering with GTM and G&A leaders to enhance employee engagement and development.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with GTM and G&A leadership to drive People strategy that aligns with business objectives, providing counsel that shapes meaningful priorities beyond checkbox HR practices
  • Act as employee champion and trusted advisor—managing complex employee relations while addressing wellbeing needs that enhance productivity and engagement
  • Design career development frameworks including job architecture, leveling guidelines, and promotion criteria that create clear growth paths
  • Coach managers to become world-class leaders who excel at career conversations, team development, and identifying stretch opportunities
  • Guide workforce planning decisions including org design, compensation philosophy, promotion frameworks, and ensure global compliance
  • Build Semgrep's L&D foundation—determining what HR structures we need now versus later, always prioritizing impact over bureaucracy

Requirements

  • 8+ years of HRBP experience, including supporting international teams
  • Familiarity with modern L&D approaches and tools, with the ability to build scalable programs that don't feel corporate
  • Operational excellence with HR tech stack experience (bonus points for: Rippling, CultureAmp, Pave, Carta)
