Political Sales Executive at Scripps Networks selling airtime and digital space during election cycle. Engaging political campaigns and advocacy organizations through media placements and strategic negotiation.
Responsibilities
Sell broadcast television commercial airtime and digital/CTV space to direct accounts and advertising agencies specializing in political and advocacy advertising
Execute FCC rules and regulations surrounding political broadcast advertising
Negotiate advertising rates and program ratings with new and existing accounts to maximize share of revenue
Prepare and present marketing proposals utilizing qualitative and quantitative research
Perform client services, including but not limited to avail presentations, account management reconciliation, credit and collections, package preparations
Effectively manage a sales pipeline by engaging national political and advocacy accounts and agencies promotion Scripps broadcast & digital portfolio and supporting Scripps to to market strategies
Build strong client relationships and deliver world-class customer service
Perform other duties as needed or as directed by sales management
Requirements
BS/BA in related discipline preferred or equivalent years of experience
3+ years of experience in related field preferred
Established relationships with national advertisers and political agencies
A strong understanding of television and national advertising trends is desired
Expert knowledge of all facets of television sales and marketing
Understanding of CTV and digital sales preferred
Strong negotiation skills
Strong interpersonal communication skills
Strong presentation skills
Highly organized and able to manage high volume accounts
Excellent analytical skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Proficient in Wide Orbit (ad management platform) Traffic and Wide Orbit Media Sales preferred
