About the role

  • Providing administrative support for the philanthropy operations of Save the Children. Assisting in managing donor relationships and database maintenance while collaborating with team members.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative assistance to the Planned Giving and Mid-Level teams (80%): Under the direction of the Senior Managing Director, Planned Giving, you will support the teams in cultivating and stewarding relationships with current and prospective donors.
  • Develop a strong knowledge of and serve as the shared team point-person for the donor database.
  • Ensure accurate records for planned giving and mid-level donors and prospects, confirming data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Help with marketing vendors to manage mailings, including newsletters, holiday cards, and special appeals.
  • Compile, initiate, and logically format data and run reports that contribute to analysis and ensure proper coding is applied to relevant donor records.
  • Act as a resource for other team members; network and collaborate with peers within the department, division, and agency (20%).
  • Track and disseminate leads generated from toll-free phone line, mailbox, and webpages and refer to appropriate team members.
  • Assist with Philanthropy webinars and other events as needed.
  • Provide support with scanning, filing, and forwarding mail to team, scheduling meetings, processing expenses, and booking travel.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent, plus at least 1 year of relevant experience or education
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with individuals and teams at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Demonstrated ability to work proactively, anticipating potential challenges and finding and executing creative solutions.
  • Proven organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven attention to detail and a high degree of customer service and confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated professional adaptability and situational flexibility.
  • Professional proficiency in MS Office suite
  • Professional proficiency in spoken and written English
