About the role
- Data Analyst Intern supporting analytics initiatives for data center clients. Assisting with data preparation, analysis, dashboard development, and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and maintaining dashboards, dataflows, and reporting tools that support client energy and sustainability programs
- Assist in identifying trends and performance insights across client portfolios
- Contribute to analytics initiatives aligned with program goals
- Assist in cleaning, organizing, and validating energy and building performance datasets to ensure accuracy and reliability
- Support the development and maintenance of dashboards, dataflows, and recurring performance reports using tools such as Power BI
- Perform assigned analytical tasks under guidance to support client deliverables and internal initiatives
- Document data sources, assumptions, and methodologies to promote clarity and reproducibility
- Conduct quality checks following established data management standards
- Contribute to ongoing projects by completing assigned deliverables on schedule
- Collaborate with Energy & Sustainability team members to support project objectives
- Learn and apply Salute’s internal analytics platforms, reporting standards, and processes
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, including workflow optimization and automation efforts where appropriate
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and structured professional development activities throughout the internship
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, data analytics, computer science, sustainability, environmental science, related field
- Rising junior or senior preferred
- Foundational knowledge of data analysis tools such as Python, R, or SQL
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau plus
- Strong analytical thinking skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated interest in sustainability, energy efficiency, or data center infrastructure
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Eagerness to learn new tools, systems, and industry concepts
