Responsibilities

• Translate complex business problems into clear, explainable analytical solutions that generate tangible business insights;
• Determine the most appropriate statistical approach or algorithm to address complex and ambiguous business questions;
• Advanced Diagnostics: Use statistics and advanced analyses to identify root causes of operational, financial, and quality issues and ensure the explainability of proposed solutions;
• Modeling for Insights: Develop ML models not only to predict but to explain phenomena;
• Experiment Design: Design and analyze controlled tests (A/B tests or quasi-experiments) to validate whether a new policy or procedure is effective before scaling;
• Executive Storytelling: Convert complex analyses into clear executive presentations with direct, actionable recommendations.

Requirements

• Strong Statistical Foundation: Extensive mastery of descriptive and inferential statistics, hypothesis testing (p-values, confidence intervals), and multivariate analysis.
• Programming for Analysis: Proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Statsmodels, scikit-learn, SciPy, etc.) or R, with a focus on data manipulation and exploratory modeling.
• Advanced SQL: Ability to write complex queries against relational databases to support analyses;
• Analytical Machine Learning: Experience using clustering, regression, forecasting, decision trees, and boosting algorithms to discover patterns and behaviors.
• Data Visualization: Experience creating visualizations that communicate insights instantly (in notebooks, Power BI, or Tableau).
• Business Experience: Proven track record working closely with one or more of the following business areas: collections, customer service, finance, field operations, billing; translating "math" into efficiency/ROI.
• Education: Completed undergraduate degree in a technology-related field.
• Postgraduate degree or relevant certifications related to the role.
• Other Skills: Critical and investigative thinking, internal consulting, clear communication, focus on the "why".
• Preferred Knowledge: Databricks; cloud development experience (Azure and Google Cloud).
