About the role
- Accounting Manager overseeing team operations and financial report preparation for acquired companies. Collaborating with senior management to ensure proper accounting policies and practices.
Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the accounting team
- Identify and solve accounting and business issues as they arise
- Prepare and present variance analysis for the segments balance sheets and income statements
- Prepare, analyze and present financial reporting packages for the operational and environmental segments
- Responsible for the financial accounting and reporting of acquired companies
- Manage the month-end accounting activities
- Assist with financial planning preparation
- Provide guidance to the accounting team
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors
- Assist senior management with process improvement ideas
Requirements
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- Master's degree accounting/finance preferred
- Five (5) years or more experience in public accounting or four (4) years with a master's degree
- Detail oriented and excellent analytical skills
- Strong organizational and research skills
- Ability to organize and manage multiple processes
- Ability to interact with senior management
- Ability to team-build and assist others when needed
