About the role

  • Aerospace Technical Publications Leader driving high-quality aircraft documentation using technical expertise and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation and revision of CMMs, CMPs, AMMs, and other technical publications for aircraft components and systems.
  • Author and review Assembly, Disassembly, Inspection, and Repair procedures.
  • Ensure strict compliance with ATA100, iSpec 2200, and S1000D standards.
  • Apply ASD-STE (Simplified Technical English) consistently across publications.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and change drivers such as SBs, ECNs, TRs, SILs, ATPs, and Service Newsletters.
  • Work extensively with Adobe FrameMaker, Arbortext Epic Editor, and CSDB environments.
  • Utilize PLM tools such as Teamcenter and Enovia.
  • Handle XML/SGML content, including troubleshooting XML parsing errors.
  • Collaborate with illustrators using IsoDraw 7.3, 3DVIA, and CATIA (added advantage).
  • Lead and coordinate a team of technical writers, illustrators, editors, and SMEs.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for resolving technical and workflow issues.
  • Provide training, mentorship, and technical guidance, ensuring the team stays current with evolving standards and technologies.
  • Conduct performance reviews, career development discussions, and support the merit cycle.
  • Partner with Project Managers and PMO to prioritize work, manage scope changes, and allocate resources effectively.
  • Monitor workloads, resolve bottlenecks, and optimize resource utilization.
  • Interface closely with engineering, quality, and other technical teams to capture the latest design and system updates.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with both internal and external customers.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of aerospace industry experience in technical publications.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform under extremely tight schedules.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as business needs require.
