About the role

  • Industry Sales Manager responsible for formulating industry sales growth plans at Rockwell Automation. Leading teams to enhance company's influence in CPG sub industries and developing differentiated solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the Industry Consultant and Business Development Manager teams in CPG related industries, leading the development of customers in various CPG sub industries of Top 100, while focusing on promoting four business directions: industrial upgrading, ESG/net zero, globalization, traditional business and new applications.
  • Through collaborative development of the industry chain and top customers, enhancing the company's influence in various CPG sub industries, forming a systematic, scalable, and sustainable development of CPG industry business.
  • Collaborate with other teams from SMIC, BUs, OEM, MA, Marketing to focus on cross department development of industry value propositions, focused and differentiated application solutions, and contributing and supporting key strategic account development.
  • Promote identified repeatable applications of CODA/POC and SWC/ITD in the industry together with sales teams and partners.
  • Horizontally integrate various internal and external resources of the company, provide industry customers with differentiated solutions and industry white papers of CPG industries, and prepare enabling tools and playbooks of CPG industries for various teams of the company.
  • Organize relevant teams to hold workshops and other CPG industries training to support sales teams in clearly conveying the company's differentiated value in CPG industries to key customers and clearly conveying results-based information to "C-level" customers.
  • Develop annual industry BSR and sales/growth plan aligned with global industry teams, key BU and sales stakeholders – Verticals and sales management including objectives and action plans for accelerated growth in GRC industry market.
  • Measure and report monthly/ quarterly status and progress of the relative Industry business growth to sales management and global industry team.
  • Monitor & influence funnel health to exceed financial targets.
  • Maintain awareness of industry/competitive trends and strategies in the market and their impact on RA China business.
  • Develop specific industry competency to drive growth for the business.
  • Prioritize 70-20-10 and other career development tools for direct report for mid- and long-term career goals.
  • Manage and control team's T&E within fiscal budget.

Requirements

  • High level of expertise in integration of automation, information, innovation solution with CPG related industry customer.
  • Be the Domain Expert on industry process (knowhow & understand applications / manufacturing processes / key market players) and support regional Account Managers to develop business in CPG related Industry.
  • Intermediate level of expertise in Integrated Architecture, Drive Systems, MES / Information System, Networks, Services & Solutions, Application Knowledge, along with a basic understanding of all our products.
  • Intermediate level of expertise in Market Research & Analysis (Market & Economic Trends, Customer Buying Behavior, Competitor Research), Process Business Drivers (Understanding of needs of Process Solutions customers), Project / Implementation Management, Sales Fundamentals, Project Sales Strategizing, Value Based Selling, Disciplined Selling Process, Customer Centric Selling, Customer Relationship Management, Prospecting & New Customer Development, Prospecting & New Customer Development.
  • Account Sales Maximizing (Expanding business in existing accounts), Account Planning & Management.
  • Having the ability to promote the implementation, innovation, and breakthrough of Rockwell Automation strategy in CPG related industry.
  • Strong Collaboration and Interpersonal Skills.
  • Talents and Result Oriented.
  • Good command of both English and Chinese.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Automation is required.
  • Minimum 10 years automation application experience in any CPG related industries (Food & Beverage and HPC related experience is preferred), the sales/marketing experiences in Automation industry is preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in CPG related industry with solid domain knowledge in the relevant industry and commercial experience is must.
  • Familiar with the digital transformation, national policy, and industry development trend in one or more of CPG related industries.
  • 5+ years leadership experience.
