About the role

  • Senior Accountant at Rightsline managing financial records and month-end close process. Must thrive in a high-growth tech environment.

Responsibilities

  • Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses
  • Maintain and reconcile revenue recognition per ASC 606 for subscription and professional service contracts
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reporting packages
  • Partner with FP&A, Operations, and RevOps to ensure data accuracy and alignment between systems (e.g., CRM, billing, and ERP)
  • Support annual audits and compliance requirements
  • Contribute to system implementations
  • Assist with ad hoc analysis and special projects, such as KPI tracking or acquisition integration
  • Support tax compliance activities, including preparation of information for corporate income tax filings, sales tax, and other indirect tax reporting
  • Manage inter-company transactions, ensuring proper recording, reconciliation, and elimination for consolidated financial statements.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of accounting experience within a high-growth environment
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role within a technology company (SaaS experience strongly preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; advanced credentials such as CPA, CMA, or MBA are highly desirable
  • Solid understanding of federal, state, and local tax compliance requirements, including reporting obligations and basic regulatory knowledge
  • Strong proficiency in US GAAP, with hands-on experience applying ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition) in a SaaS or subscription-based business model
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking capabilities, with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and professionally
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to build relationships across teams and functions
  • Experience leading a team, demonstrate ability to guide, mentor, and develop team members
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including complex formulas, modeling, and data analysis tools.
