Responsibilities
Manages sales and marketing activities of the subsidiary by performing duties personally or through supervisors.
Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.
Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates.
Directs hourly and salary staff through training and performance evaluations to develop and control sales program.
Directs channel development activity and coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals.
Advises dealers, distributors, and clients concerning sales techniques.
Analyzes sales statistics to formulate policy and assist dealers in promoting sales.
Represents company at trade association meetings to promote product.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum 10 years’ management experience in a manufacturing environment
5 plus years’ successful sales experience desired.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
Must have excellent presentation skills
Knowledge of competitors
Extensive knowledge of material handling products
Computer literate and able to effectively use Microsoft office business suites.
Ability to read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions, correspondence, and memos in English.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, assembly drawings, schematics and other written or verbal instructions presented in English.
