About the role

  • Marketing Analytics Manager at Relay focusing on marketing tracking infrastructure and analytics. Responsible for delivering data-driven recommendations to enhance marketing effectiveness and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Turn complex data into clear recommendations for Marketing and Leadership, and guide decision making with thoughtful analyses and structured storytelling.
  • Build and maintain dashboards in Metabase and Google Sheets/Excel to surface trends, monitor performance, and highlight actionable insights across campaigns and funnels.
  • Own end-to-end marketing tracking, from front-end pixels to back-end events. Implement, audit, and troubleshoot tracking across channels to ensure clean, reliable, and consistent data.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Data, Growth, and Marketing teams to evolve Relay’s analytics infrastructure. Partner with developers to test, debug, and deploy tracking updates across web and app environments.
  • Manage UTM governance and event tracking in HubSpot and connected tools. Support multi-touch attribution, mixed media modelling, and funnel analysis to inform investment decisions and improve marketing effectiveness.

Requirements

  • You have 3–5 years of experience in marketing analytics, growth operations, or a similarly technical marketing role, ideally within a fast-moving tech environment
  • You’ve worked hands-on with Google Tag Manager, GA4, HubSpot tracking, and paid media tagging across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads, and you know how to keep a tracking ecosystem running clean
  • You’re fluent in SQL, BI tools like Metabase or Tableau, and advanced spreadsheet work. You can trace data issues across both front-end and back-end systems without getting lost
  • You’ve operated in tools like Segment or similar data pipelines, and you understand how events flow through a full marketing data stack
  • You’re comfortable with attribution models and have experience supporting multi-touch attribution or mixed media modelling to guide smarter channel decisions
  • You’re naturally curious, detail-oriented, and energized by technical problem solving. When something breaks, your instinct is to investigate and fix it rather than escalate it away
  • You’re proactive and self-directed, able to create clarity and structure even when things are ambiguous or messy
  • You’re a clear communicator who can translate technical findings into insights that marketing and leadership teams can act on
  • You’re organized, dependable, and take pride in maintaining trustworthy, high-quality data that fuels better decisions.

Benefits

  • You push relentlessly for reinvention: You’re built to constantly ask, “How can this be better?” Change excites you and you drive it.
  • You crave autonomy: We trust our team with big challenges and the freedom to solve them. If you’re someone who takes initiative, is comfortable taking risks, and seeks input when needed, you’ll find the freedom here empowering.
  • You own your work: You take pride in your work, follow through on commitments, and feel a deep sense of responsibility for outcomes, not just tasks.
  • You treat comfort as a red flag: You seek growth. When things feel too comfortable, you lean into change. You’re excited about stepping into the unknown and navigating new terrain to create something better alongside your team.
  • You care about impact, not noise: You care deeply about the substance of your work. You measure success by results, not recognition and you let your work speak for itself.
  • You’re energized by complexity and ambiguity: You enjoy tackling problems that don’t come with a playbook. You’re comfortable building from scratch, iterating as you go, and collaborating to shape the best path forward.
  • You seek out feedback: We value directness, clarity, and respect. We believe honesty fuels great work and career growth. You see feedback as a tool for learning and improvement, and you know that open, honest dialogue is key to achieving the best results — together.
  • You’re here for more than a job: At Relay, everything we do is in service of our mission to help small businesses thrive. To drive impact and have purpose here, that mission must matter to you too.
