About the role

  • QA Analyst at Rebellion developing and executing detailed test plans for video games. Fostering collaboration and quality assurance across teams to ensure smooth player experiences.

Responsibilities

  • We’re not just looking for testers.
  • We’re looking for QA professionals who see the whole system. You don’t just play the game — you understand it, anticipate what could break, and help the team deliver better, smoother experiences.
  • What you’ll do here:
  • **Write thorough test plans for small features.** You know how to cover every scenario a feature might encounter and make sure nothing is missed.
  • **Spot risk before it hits production.** You notice the small things that can turn into big problems.
  • **Think systemically.** Features don’t exist in isolation, and neither do bugs. You understand how changes ripple through builds and tools.
  • **Catch the edge cases.** You know the rare scenarios that derail schedules and impact players.
  • **Communicate clearly across teams.** Design, engineering, and production depend on you to surface issues and clarify impacts.
  • If you’re the kind of QA professional who **can write detailed feature test plans, anticipate problems, and own quality across the system**, we want you on our team.
  • **QA doesn’t slow games down — good QA helps teams ship better games, faster, with fewer surprises.**
  • This exciting opportunity can be based out of either of our studios in Oxford or Warwick, offering flexibility, collaboration, and the chance to work with a world-class team! We can provide a relocation package, including moving assistance, temporary accommodation, and full support to ensure a smooth transition to your new environment.
  • We believe in the power of face-to-face collaboration and encourage working from our studios. However, we understand that flexibility matters, so we’re open to discussing hybrid options based on individual needs.

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of software testing methodologies
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of bug testing and tracking software (Jira/Redmine, TestRail/TestLink, Confluence/Wiki.js).
  • Professional experience of testing current generation of consoles and PC platforms
  • Thorough understanding of different game genres, mechanics and platforms is crucial.
  • Able to process strong analytical skills to identify patterns, reproduce issues and troubleshoot problems effectively. The ability to think critically and approach testing scenarios from different angles is essential.
  • When required, should be able to work closely with developers, designers and other team members.
  • Able to manage time effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced game development environment, as well as prioritise tasks, balance workload and communicate delays.
  • Should be adaptable to changing requirements, new tools and emerging technologies. A willingness to learn and stay updated with industry trends and advancements.

Benefits

  • **We offer an extensive benefits package to our team including:**
