About the role
- Senior Controller contributing strategically to the financial success of Ratepay with analytical insights. Collaborating across teams to ensure financial process considerations and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for monthly reporting, including revenue, profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash flow reports, as well as ad-hoc reports for management and other stakeholders
- Preparation of budgets and forecasts and maintenance and development of cost accounting systems
- Support for medium- and long-term liquidity planning and foreign exchange management
- Participation in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements; point of contact for inquiries from the Nexi Group
- Improvement of KPI reporting to optimize business performance management
- Point of contact for OPEX- and CAPEX-related analyses and assessments
- Optimization of existing controlling processes and performance indicators
- Identification of improvement opportunities and proactive contribution to initiatives for sustainable team and company success
Requirements
- Relevant professional qualification with a focus on finance, controlling (or accounting)
- Experience in the banking and/or payments industry is an advantage
- Solid experience with reporting tools (such as Tableau, SAP FI, SAP BW; basic SQL or Python skills are an advantage)
- Experience with Microsoft Navision is a plus
- Several years of experience as a Business Controller or Financial Analyst with a focus on financial modelling (profit & loss, balance sheet and cash flows)
- Ability to present results clearly and concisely, tailored to the audience's background
- Confident user of ERP systems, databases and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint; Access is a plus)
- Interest in understanding complex topics and challenging the status quo
- Motivation to understand the BNPL product ("buy now, pay later") and analyse process workflows
- Holistic thinker with a passion for cross-functional collaboration
- Strong communicator with a high level of service orientation and team spirit
- Calm and professional communication in stressful situations
- Business-level fluency in German and English
