About the role

  • Oversees management and execution of various contracts related to the Track, Infrastructure and Right-of-Way activities within Western Canada.
  • Works closely with technical experts and qualified on-site personnel.
  • Manages all aspects of the contract administration, including fulfilling project requirements, promoting safety culture, conducting quality control and assurance, providing internal reports to the management team, and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5+ years of progressive, hands-on project or contract management experience in heavy civil, rail, or transit construction.
  • Direct experience supporting or managing project controls functions, including cost tracking, forecasting, production reporting, and schedule updates.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing and submitting RFIs, change orders, and contract correspondence.
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors or providing direction to field personnel.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience supervising subcontractors, coordinators, or field teams.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Hard Dollar, JD Edwards, or similar project management and cost systems.
  • Proven ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and contract documents.
  • PMP or P.Eng designation is an asset.
