About the role
- Technical Editor creating and optimizing complex technical documentation for Quest One. Collaborating closely with development teams and utilizing XML-based systems.
Responsibilities
- You create and optimize complex technical documentation such as operating, assembly and maintenance manuals, as well as functional and system descriptions in accordance with DIN EN 82079-1 and relevant EU directives.
- You work closely with development teams.
- You work with an XML-based authoring system (GRIPS) and support the entire process from creation to translation.
- You independently produce technical illustrations.
- You collaborate closely with development and obtain the required information.
- You create safety and warning notices in accordance with applicable standards.
- You actively contribute to the development of new documentation formats.
- You assist with translation coordination and terminology management.
Requirements
- You have completed vocational training, further education or a university degree in technical documentation/editing, or a technician qualification with relevant experience in technical documentation.
- Experience in mechanical or plant engineering is an advantage.
- You have good knowledge of relevant standards and directives (e.g. DIN EN 82079, Machinery Directive, CE marking).
- You have experience with XML-based authoring systems as well as standardization and modularization approaches in technical documentation.
- You have very good German and English skills, both written and spoken.
- Your working style is independent, proactive and meticulous.
