Responsibilities
- Lead the creation, editing, and maintenance of complex technical documentation, including safety procedures, transformation materials, and compliance documents, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and usability.
- Improve documentation efficiency by leveraging tools such as Artificial Intelligence to streamline writing, review, approval, and change‑tracking processes.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and transformation leaders to ensure documentation supports business change, future readiness, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide oversight of document control and approval processes, supporting audits, regulatory reviews, and project milestones while ensuring compliance with rail safety and transformation standards.
- Drive continuous improvement in documentation practices by analysing existing materials, developing standards and frameworks, resolving stakeholder issues, and embedding improved processes and training.
Requirements
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical and regulatory information.
- Experience supporting large‑scale transformation or change initiatives in safety‑critical or regulated environments, with a focus on clear, compliant documentation.
- Highly organised with strong analytical skills, comfortable using complex systems and digital tools (including AI), and managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proven ability to develop, standardise, and maintain documentation frameworks, templates, and standards that support transformation and operational readiness.
- Strong capability in document control, version management, and compliance, ensuring documentation meets audit, regulatory, and governance requirements.
