Monitoring Specialist optimizing LogicMonitor and Dynatrace platforms for IT consulting firm Qualysoft. Ensuring infrastructure monitoring, incident management, and performance optimization.
Responsibilities
Onboard devices, services, and applications into LogicMonitor and Dynatrace;
Configure and manage monitoring components (collectors, groups, templates);
Tune alert thresholds and dependencies to reduce noise and false positives;
Maintain escalation chains, routing rules, and on-call schedules;
Build and maintain dashboards for services, capacity, and SLA reporting;
Validate data collection after system or topology changes and proactively resolve gaps;
Integrate monitoring tools with ITSM systems for automated incident management;
Develop scripts (PowerShell, Bash, Python) for custom checks, enrichment, and auto-remediation;
Manage collector upgrades and plugin health;
Produce regular reports (availability, MTTR, noisy devices);
Ensure monitoring coverage for new services, projects, and locations;
Map service dependencies to improve alerting accuracy and incident triage;
Review and optimize monitoring rules and remove obsolete checks;
Maintain documentation, knowledge base, and response playbooks;
Support disaster recovery (DR) validation with synthetic monitoring;
Track license usage and optimize platform footprint.
Requirements
Experience in enterprise-scale monitoring environments;
Knowledge of automation, AIOps, or GenAI solutions;
Experience with capacity planning and SLA reporting;
Familiarity with dependency mapping and service modeling;
Understanding of ITIL or similar frameworks.
