Responsibilities
Provides strategic leadership for all marketing and communications efforts of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York.
Responsible for elevating the organization’s visibility, advancing its mission and values, supporting fundraising and service delivery goals, and ensuring consistent messaging.
Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy that is aligned with Catholic Charities’ priorities.
Serve as a senior advisor on communications strategy and public messaging.
Oversee brand positioning and marketing campaigns that promote program growth and awareness.
Lead internal and external communications, including organizational announcements and media relations.
Collaborate with the development team to execute a digital strategy and support fundraising campaigns.
Requirements
Required Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive experience in marketing and communications, with senior leadership experience.
Demonstrated experience developing and executing organization-wide communications strategies.
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills for diverse audiences.
Experience working with media, senior executives, boards, and external stakeholders.
Commitment to the mission and values of a Catholic nonprofit organization.
Preferred Experience in a nonprofit, social services, healthcare, faith-based, or public-sector organization.
Familiarity with Catholic social teaching and Church-affiliated institutions.
Experience supporting fundraising and donor communications.
