About the role

  • Software Developer for Business Automation at qards supporting internal processes in Germany. Focused on digitalization, automation, and process integration solutions in a full-time role.

Responsibilities

  • Support our internal business units in the digitization and automation of business processes
  • Develop and enhance process solutions with Flowable – from low-code modeling to pro-code implementation
  • Implement modern automation and integration solutions using Java/Spring Boot, REST, and cloud technologies
  • Create proofs of concept and prototypes for internal use cases
  • Integrate systems and services; work with various file formats and interface technologies – ensuring stable end-to-end process integration
  • Operate and further develop systems including monitoring, troubleshooting (2nd/3rd level), performance and stability optimization, and support for releases and deployments
  • Establish, implement, and ensure development, integration, and documentation standards to guarantee the highest software quality

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mathematics, or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of experience in software development and/or business automation (BPM)
  • Experience with interface technologies, data formats, and process integration (e.g., APIs/REST)
  • Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, message queueing) is a plus
  • Experience with low-code/pro-code platforms and BPM/workflow platforms (Flowable, Camunda, Appian, Pega, Activiti, etc.) is desirable
  • Strong Java skills (Spring Boot); JavaScript and/or Python are a plus
  • C2-level German and good English skills
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills, combined with a high problem-solving orientation and an independent working style
  • A simple criminal record certificate without entries and a signed internal declaration confirming orderly financial circumstances
