About the role
- Principal Software Engineer architecting and building strategic delivery systems at Shipt. Lead technical guidance and collaborate across engineering and product teams in an e-commerce environment.
Responsibilities
- Architect, influence, and build strategic infrastructure and delivery systems and tools
- Be a technical leader within the Developer and Ops Enablement engineering organization
- Partner closely with engineering and product leads across multiple teams
- Balance between technical guidance, architectural design, and implementation to deliver high quality software solutions in a rapidly evolving e-commerce environment
Requirements
- 6+ years of software engineering experience with progressive responsibilities and operating applications at scale
- Working expertise in building, debugging, deploying, and scaling applications built on various technology stacks
- 3+ years of experience with modern cloud platform providers, including but not limited to AWS, GCP, and Azure
- Working expertise with containerization - Kubernetes, Docker
- Working expertise with observability tools and technologies, such as time series databases, log aggregation, metric visualization, distributed tracing, APM
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience | Required
