About the role

  • Construction Manager overseeing utility projects in Snoqualmie, WA for energy efficiency programs. Supporting Project Management throughout the entire project lifecycle, including design, construction, and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to PSE’s safety compliance standards and operating procedures related to assigned work
  • Promote and maintain a culture of total safety across all activities
  • Review, analyze and resolve field construction issues, discrepancies with standards, design and specifications
  • Work with contractors, agencies and customers to settle issues and facilitate completion of projects
  • Coordinate contractor activities and provide oversight on construction projects
  • Assure compliance with budget, schedule, design, standards, contractual agreements and construction requirements
  • Consult with project team to develop constructable designs
  • Responsible for the change order process, including negotiation of pricing and T&M decisions
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • BS in engineering, construction management, related field or 2 years of field experience
  • Knowledge of utility operations
  • Basic computer skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications and problem solving skills
  • Comfort working in the office as well out at the jobsite
  • 6 years of experience with major complex construction (Desired)
  • BS Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience (Desired)
  • In-depth knowledge of utility operations, standards and construction practices (Desired)
  • Working knowledge of estimating, material procurement, scheduling, rates & tariffs and project accounting (Desired)
