About the role

  • Personnel Security Assistant providing customer service and administrative support for personnel security case processing. Reviewing forms, assisting applicants, and coordinating follow-ups based in Springfield, VA.

Responsibilities

  • Receive telephone calls and respond to incoming email messages submitted through the Customer Service web address
  • Review e-QIP requests online and provide technical assistance to applicants
  • Prepare, submit, monitor, and update computer tracking systems concerning appropriate case material
  • Coordinate follow-up communication with requesting or investigating offices to resolve information gaps
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years of directly related experience performing administrative support in personnel security functions such as e-QIP/eAPP, SF-85, and SF-86, including reviewing investigative forms
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills commensurate with the position
