Social Media Manager overseeing GQ Germany's social media strategy and day-to-day posting. Collaborating with creative teams to enhance audience engagement across platforms.
Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day social posting and overall social media strategy for the GQ digital team in Munich
Responsible for daily posting across all social media channels, including Instagram and TikTok
Work in close collaboration with the video team to create social-first video content
Collaborate with the editorial team on cover launches and feature stories
Coordinate commercial sponsorship deliverables and partnerships
Attend and cover social rollout at events
Collaborate with audience development leads on growth strategy
Report on content performance and present social insights and best practices to GQ and Condé Nast’s digital and audience development teams
Brainstorm new ideas and plan rollout strategies for testing with the audience development team
Requirements
3–5 years of social media management experience (minimum)
Passionate about established and emerging social media platforms and growing audiences
Strong understanding of social media trends and how to translate them into content for brands
Familiarity with social video content and formats — experience in video strategy is a plus
Positive team player with an enthusiastic work ethic
Familiarity with GQ’s editorial content and tone of voice
Strong writing and communication skills
Good understanding of social media analytics and how to use data to inform strategy
Experience optimizing social media content for engagement and/or traffic
Strong editorial judgment
Excellent organizational skills, focus, and attention to detail
Proven ability to synthesize and communicate information quickly
Must complete an edit test (writing samples are a plus)
