About the role
- Data Analyst role focusing on business insights and data governance across finance and commercial sectors at Porto Seguros.
Responsibilities
- Map business area processes (commercial, finance) and translate complex pain points into clear data requirements and management dashboards.
- Develop and maintain interactive, scalable dashboards, ensuring governance and reliability of information.
- Design and build performance indicators (KPIs) and OKRs from scratch, connecting data sources to the business reality.
- Perform exploratory analyses to investigate financial/commercial anomalies (e.g., margin drops, churn).
- Ensure the integration and quality of data from the database to the final visualization.
- Present results and insights to non-technical stakeholders, guiding teams toward action plans (Data Storytelling).
Requirements
- Power BI: Strong experience creating dashboards, data modeling (Star Schema/Snowflake) and mastery of DAX for advanced calculations.
- SQL: Proficient in writing complex queries for data extraction, manipulation and consolidation.
- Python: Practical experience for exploratory analysis and automation (libraries such as Pandas and NumPy).
- Excel: Advanced level (Power Query, PivotTables) for quick interfacing with teams that require spreadsheets.
- Business acumen: Previous experience working directly with financial indicators (income statement/P&L, margins) or commercial metrics (sales funnel, conversion).
- Hands-on experience with cloud data warehouses, especially Google BigQuery.
- Knowledge of ETL/ELT routines.
