About the role
- Finance Business Partner at Plum ensuring financial health through analysis and collaboration with teams. Focus on budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting to support business strategies.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the business (in particular product and marketing / growth) to make sure we prioritising the right initiatives;
- Support the partnership team and wider business to evaluate the economics and pricing for potential partnerships and ultimately inform business decisions;
- Assist with the financial modeling and budgeting process of Plum;
- Analyze performance vs budget;
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, becoming a trusted strategic partner;
- Contribute to the financial modeling and budgeting process of Plum and provide input to aid in setting Plum’s financial strategy;
- Lead the month end process, including investor and partner reporting, quarterly board reporting and analyzing key risks and opportunities;
- Support on periodic updating of the group’s ICARAs, recovery and wind-down plans;
- Work with the data team to improve the accuracy of our forecasting;
- Embrace automation across all processes in FP&A.
Requirements
- You have good knowledge of how the P&L and balance of a financial services business works (Could be via an accounting qualification or experience in investment banking / consulting / fintech businesses)
- You have at least 3 years of experience in FP&A, commercial finance or professional services
- You have a strong analytical background and working with data to drive insight
- You have a strong working knowledge of Excel and financial modeling experience and are confident in setting up models and processes from scratch
- You have great attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- You are hands on, driven and proactive; you take ownership of your work and can collaborate as a team player
- Experience working with an accounting software, such as Xero, is a plus
- Experience working in fintech is a plus
- Experience with Looker is a plus
- Experience analyzing data and working with Data Teams is a plus
- Experience with ICARA, recovery and wind-down plans is a plus
