Responsibilities
Leading the site team to achieve excellence in EHS performance, manufacturing capability, and delivery of quality, service, and reliability that meets customer expectations.
Driving a culture of continuous improvement, breakthrough performance, and an engaging work environment where team members are empowered to perform at their best.
Identifying and managing operational risks, including EHS, regulatory compliance, quality performance, cost management, and equipment reliability and optimization.
Developing and implementing budgets, operational objectives, personnel plans, inventory strategies, and capital plans aligned with the strategic goals of the Agricultural Products business.
Defining and executing manufacturing and asset strategies that ensure reliable and flexible product availability while supporting business growth and operational excellence.
Ensuring full compliance with BASF policies, regulatory requirements, and company values related to safety, quality, environmental stewardship, and financial performance.
Representing BASF externally by engaging with state and local agencies, the media, and community stakeholders to support operations and maintain positive relationships.
Requirements
Have a B.S., B.A., or M.A. degree, required.
A field of study in Chemistry, Science, Chemical Engineering, or another Engineering discipline such as Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, is a plus.
Bring 12+ years of experience in plant operations or related manufacturing environments.
Have extensive leadership and supervisory experience with demonstrated ability to lead change and deliver results, required.
8+ years supervising teams, with a proven track record of building, leading, and developing high-performing teams and coaching managers, strongly preferred.
Possess strong knowledge of manufacturing operations and site support systems, including maintenance, continuous improvement, operational excellence, environmental health and safety, and quality processes and procedures, required.
Familiarity in agricultural chemical or biological production operations, preferred.
Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to analyze complex technical, operational, and financial data and implement effective solutions that drive manufacturing performance in EHS, cost reduction, quality improvement, and asset optimization.
Have experience leveraging technology and AI solutions to improve cost efficiency, service performance, and customer experience, while applying leading-edge operational methods and technologies.
Bring strong communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills, along with excellent technical writing and the organizational and management capabilities required for strong execution.
Have broad experience interacting with government entities and local communities.
Are able to travel 5%, domestically.
