About the role

  • Estimating Team Manager leading a team of estimators in the property restoration industry. Focusing on performance management, training, and collaboration with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of estimators in performance management and SMART goal creation
  • Conduct monthly meetings for performance coaching and management
  • Facilitate regular team calibration meetings
  • Support claim management escalations and team member absences
  • Coach franchises on estimating performance and assist with claim inquiries
  • Communicate with stakeholders including direct reports and insurance carrier partners
  • Collaborate with other departments to create standard operating procedures and program guidelines

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in insurance claims or related field
  • 1+ years of experience with estimation principles, concepts, and experience in the property restoration/insurance industry
  • 3+ years of experience with personnel management or coaching
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Forms, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Ability to review and write estimates for water mitigation, mold, fire mitigation, temporary repairs, contents, reconstruction, and other job-type estimates in an accurate and timely manner
  • Knowledge of estimating platforms; Xactware Products, Symbility, and other estimating software
