About the role

  • Operations Manager focusing on cost coverage and insurance processes at a healthcare startup in Berlin. Analyzing workflows and optimizing operational effectiveness in a hybrid remote setup.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze existing processes related to cost coverage and reimbursement requests
  • Identify inefficiencies, error sources, and improvement opportunities; develop and implement process optimizations
  • Structure, document, and standardize processes (e.g., workflows, guidelines)
  • Actively contribute to strategic projects, e.g., to improve collaboration with health insurance providers
  • Play an active role in scaling and further developing Partner & Payments Operations
  • Handle cost coverage requests operationally, including review, follow-up, and documentation
  • Work closely with colleagues from B2C Sales, Customer Success, and other teams

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in process management/operations/back office; ideally with operational case handling or alternatively with an insurance background (e.g., private health or supplementary insurance)
  • Strong process understanding: you analyze workflows, recognize patterns and inefficiencies, and actively and continuously optimize existing processes
  • Strong analytical skills and confident use of Excel / Google Sheets for analyzing and preparing data
  • Hands-on, highly reliable, and detail-oriented
  • Proactive, clear, and confident communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Fluent German skills at C2 level (spoken and written) and English skills at B2 level
  • Experience working with statutory long-term care or health insurers (e.g., reimbursements, billing, claims) is desirable
  • Experience or affinity for automation, AI, or no-/low-code tools (e.g., Zapier, AI-powered workflows)
