About the role

  • Commercial Lines Account Executive driving business development and strengthening client relationships for a leading insurance firm. Collaborating with clients to provide tailored risk management solutions in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities through targeted outreach and networking.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as their trusted advisor on commercial insurance needs.
  • Assess client operations and exposures to recommend tailored coverage strategies.
  • Collaborate with underwriters and carriers to place new and renewal policies that align with client objectives.
  • Identify and pursue cross-line opportunities to deepen account value and service.
  • Present quotes, negotiate terms, and close deals while meeting or exceeding performance targets.
  • Evaluate client agreements for insurance implications and recommend risk-mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure a high level of service and retention through ongoing account monitoring and client support.
  • Assist clients with claim reporting and follow-up to ensure timely and fair resolutions.
  • Stay attuned to industry trends, carrier appetite shifts, and competitor movements.

Requirements

  • Active Massachusetts Property & Casualty Insurance License required.
  • 5+ years in a commercial insurance sales or account executive role, preferably in an agency setting.
  • Associate or Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Risk Management, or related field preferred.
  • Professional designations such as CIC, ARM, or CRM a plus.
  • Strong understanding of commercial lines products, coverage structures, and underwriting principles.
  • Proficient in EPIC, CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and educate clients.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-touch, empathetic service that builds trust and loyalty.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage a dynamic workload and prioritize effectively.
  • Team-oriented with a track record of partnering cross-functionally to achieve goals.
