About the role

• Data Quality Analyst supporting Equinix's data governance and quality initiatives for better data management. Engage with data owners and teams to maintain and enhance data quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Create, update, and maintain data quality rules (DQ FRD), metadata, and standards across data domains
• Work closely with data owners and stewards to drive corrective actions and remediation while establishing issue tracking, steps to remediate, and root-cause insights
• Assist with data cleansing and enrichment tasks across any prioritized data migration initiative
• Monitor and report data quality metrics and thresholds
• Assist in designing and building effective reporting solutions with business context for accelerating resolution of issues
• Participate in process reviews and contribute suggestions to streamline data quality workflows and improve data governance maturity
• Support senior analysts in gathering requirements from data stewards and assist in defining measurable DQ metrics and thresholds
• Perform data validation, profiling, and documentation activities under guidance.
• Validate consistency of data quality rules across Source Systems (SORs)
• Assist in managing version control for DQ rules, definitions, and triage protocols.
• Maintain all data quality assets within the data catalog
• Prepare initial drafts of DQ reports or summaries for review
• Willingness to learn and apply data quality best practices through hands-on work and mentorship

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field
• 1-2 years related work experience or internships or related academic/Capstone projects
• Basic SQL skills and willingness to grow technical proficiency
• Familiarity with or exposure to data quality concepts, dashboards, or rule-based validations
• Ability to analyze datasets, identify issues, and communicate findings clearly.
• Strong attention to detail, documentation skills, and eagerness to learn
• Good communication and collaboration skills
