Data Quality Analyst supporting Equinix's data governance and quality initiatives for better data management. Engage with data owners and teams to maintain and enhance data quality standards.
Responsibilities
Create, update, and maintain data quality rules (DQ FRD), metadata, and standards across data domains
Work closely with data owners and stewards to drive corrective actions and remediation while establishing issue tracking, steps to remediate, and root-cause insights
Assist with data cleansing and enrichment tasks across any prioritized data migration initiative
Monitor and report data quality metrics and thresholds
Assist in designing and building effective reporting solutions with business context for accelerating resolution of issues
Participate in process reviews and contribute suggestions to streamline data quality workflows and improve data governance maturity
Support senior analysts in gathering requirements from data stewards and assist in defining measurable DQ metrics and thresholds
Perform data validation, profiling, and documentation activities under guidance.
Validate consistency of data quality rules across Source Systems (SORs)
Assist in managing version control for DQ rules, definitions, and triage protocols.
Maintain all data quality assets within the data catalog
Prepare initial drafts of DQ reports or summaries for review
Willingness to learn and apply data quality best practices through hands-on work and mentorship
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field
1-2 years related work experience or internships or related academic/Capstone projects
Basic SQL skills and willingness to grow technical proficiency
Familiarity with or exposure to data quality concepts, dashboards, or rule-based validations
Ability to analyze datasets, identify issues, and communicate findings clearly.
Strong attention to detail, documentation skills, and eagerness to learn
Good communication and collaboration skills
