About the role

  • Contract Manager overseeing the lifecycle of strategic 3rd party contracts for PG&E’s Propel program. Ensuring compliance and managing contract obligations while collaborating with various departments.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the lifecycle of multiple strategic 3rd party contracts
  • Ensure all parties adhere to agreed terms, track key milestones, and manage renewals or amendments
  • Monitor, analyze, ensure compliance & reporting
  • Work with other departments for consistent compliance practices
  • Act as primary liaison for the contracts team to PG&E’s Legal Department and other compliance departments
  • Provide guidance, support, mentorship and training to less experienced contract management staff
  • Develop and deliver contract management training to all stakeholders
  • Analyze contracts for potential compliance issues
  • Conduct audits and inspections to verify compliance
  • Prepare reports on contract compliance activities and outcomes

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 9 years of direct experience in a similar role
  • Ability to navigate complex sourcing strategies and contract compliance for large scale digital transformations
  • Master’s degree in related discipline (desired)
  • Certification such as Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Lean six sigma certification, green or black belt (desired)
  • Experience with quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) regarding contract documents
  • Experience with process development, review, and continuous improvement
  • Experience in transmission pipeline construction (desired)
  • Utility industry experience (desired)
  • Subject matter expertise with composition, management, administration, and negotiation of contracts and change orders
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
