• Senior PHP Developer responsible for writing well-structured code within a fast-growing e-commerce startup. Collaborating in a team that drives innovation in the automotive aftermarket.

Responsibilities

• Provide a Product-Focused Service: Adopting a product mindset, deliver tooling as-a-service, treating internal developer teams as valued customers.
• Technical Roadmap: Collaborate with engineering managers and product owners to define the technical roadmap, ensuring we make sound technology choices and pay down technical debt strategically.
• Coding & Review: Write high-quality, maintainable code and set the standard for engineering excellence through code reviews and technical proposals.
• Mentorship & Growth: Mentor and coach engineers across multiple teams, helping them level up their skills in system design, performance optimization, and best practices.
• Performance & Reliability: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and scalability issues in our applications.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Drive alignment and technical consensus across different teams and departments.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional experience in software development, with significant expertise in PHP and its modern ecosystem.
• Previous experience in building scalable web applications.
• Deep expertise in one or more major PHP frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony).
• Strong understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis) and practical experience with caching strategies and message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Fluent spoken and written English language skills.
