About the role

• Java Fullstack Developer creating B2B software solutions for scireum GmbH. Developing Java web applications using modern technologies within a SCRUM team.

Responsibilities

• You develop Java web applications using IntelliJ Ultimate and, in addition to our open-source in-house framework Sirius, work with modern technologies such as Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Galera, Docker, Redis, HTML5 and CSS.
• You manage your code conveniently on GitHub and submit your pull requests there for review by your colleagues.
• Together with your team lead and the product owner you work according to SCRUM in defined sprints and release periods using YouTrack.
• After the onboarding phase you estimate development effort for new tickets in coordination with your teammates.
• You test the software implemented during the release period together with your colleagues using integration tests in TestLodge.
• For particularly tricky issues you support our support team. Your team lead handles customer communication on your behalf, but your expertise will be required.

Requirements

• You are experienced in developing Java web applications (Java, HTML, CSS, JS).
• Ideally you already have initial experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Redis). If not, you will have plenty of opportunities to gain it with us.
• You enjoy working in a team, follow agile SCRUM practices and communicate with colleagues and customers in German (C1 level).
• You work independently, reliably and always think proactively.
• You plan realistically and tend to see opportunities in challenges rather than problems.
