About the role

• Java Fullstack Developer enhancing B2B software solutions at scireum. Collaborating in a professional team to develop innovative applications and optimize existing software.

Responsibilities

• You develop Java web applications using IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate.
• In addition to our open-source in-house framework Sirius, you work with cutting-edge technologies such as Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Galera, Docker, Redis, HTML5 and CSS.
• You manage your code conveniently in GitHub and create Pull Requests there for reviews by your colleagues.
• Together with your team lead and the Product Owner, you work according to SCRUM in defined sprints and release cycles using YouTrack.
• After the onboarding phase, you estimate development effort for new tickets in coordination with your team colleagues.
• You test the software implemented during the release period together with your colleagues using integration tests in Testlodge.
• For particularly tricky problems you support our support team. Your team lead will handle customer communication for you, but your expertise will be required.

Requirements

• You are familiar with developing Java web applications (Java, HTML, CSS, JS).
• Ideally, you already have initial experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Redis).
• You enjoy working in a team, follow agile SCRUM practices and communicate with colleagues and customers in German (C1 level).
• You work independently, reliably and actively contribute ideas.
• You plan realistically and tend to see opportunities in challenges rather than problems.
