About the role

  • Payroll and Benefits Specialist managing end-to-end payroll processing and daily benefits administration. Resolving payroll and benefits issues in an analytical and organized manner.

Responsibilities

  • Process payroll on assigned schedules (including bi-weekly cycles)
  • Manage full-cycle payroll activities, including audits, reconciliations, reporting, and tax filings
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health and welfare plans and retirement plans
  • Perform benefit billing reconciliations and submit accurate data for timely premium payments
  • Audit and reconcile quarterly and annual employee tax reports and filings
  • Maintain payroll and benefits compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Follow internal policies and procedures related to payroll and benefits operations

Requirements

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in a Payroll and Benefits role
  • Strong understanding of payroll processing and benefits administration practices
  • Demonstrated math and analytical skills
  • Working knowledge of ACA, COBRA, ERISA, and basic labor laws
  • High level of organization and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
