About the role

  • Technical Project Manager for Media Technology managing projects in AV and conference systems at ROM-Technik. Coordination with clients, suppliers, and project planning in Aalen.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and implementation of projects in media technology, video conferencing and sound reinforcement of various scales
  • Project coordination and alignment of all activities with end customers, suppliers, planning offices and other trades involved in the project
  • Scheduling and allocation of personnel and materials for the project
  • Reliable point of contact for our customer throughout the entire project lifecycle
  • Cost control for the project and personnel
  • Monitoring and technical evaluation of completed work
  • Project reporting and preparation of project documentation
  • Creation of plans, block diagrams, rack layouts, and cable schedules
  • Preparation of quotations and change orders in the ERP system
  • Preparation of project documentation
  • Ensuring compliance with all occupational safety and quality requirements

Requirements

  • Completed vocational training as an Information Electronics Technician, IT Systems Electronics Technician, Electronics Technician for Devices and Systems, or Event Technician with several years of professional experience in media technology, IT or event technology
  • Experience in project management
  • Ability to work independently, team player and strong organizational skills
  • Friendly and competent interaction with our customers
  • Basic IT skills (MS Office 365, Microsoft Teams)
  • Willingness to travel — driving license class B (formerly class 3) is mandatory
  • German language skills (written and spoken) as well as knowledge of English
  • Strong communication skills and structured working methods
  • Punctuality and reliability
  • High level of commitment, flexibility and team spirit
