About the role

  • Knowledge Management Administrator role at Ogier supporting database evolution and knowledge sharing across the organization. Assist legal teams with research resources and maintain internal legal resources.

Responsibilities

  • Support the evolution of the KM database to ensure ongoing growth in volume and value of content
  • Assist the PSLs with the maintenance and updating of KM intranet content, ensuring all precedents, practice notes, client briefings, and other legal and regulatory resources are accurate, up‑to‑date, and aligned with the firm’s house style
  • Act as the first point of contact for Partners and other Fee Earners requiring legal research resources
  • Operate a search desk/enquiry service for fee earners including retrieval of cases not contained on Ogier online resources
  • Selective consolidation of Cayman and BVI legislation for inclusion in the firm’s internal legal resources
  • Encouraging the use of the KM database so that Partners and fee-earners are comfortable with using it, and helping to ensure all precedents and relevant non-maintained know-how are available
  • Identify, review and prepare documents for automated document assembly (**ADA**), as well as coding them within our ADA system under supervision
  • Develop and maintain guidance, training materials, and best‑practice resources in relation to KM practices
  • Maintain client briefing repository, monitor updates and help organise the commission of editing/authoring as regards external publication and ensure availability to view via KM database
  • Manage the hard copy libraries and liaise with other KM members regarding other jurisdictions. Recommend new acquisitions and monitor budget and expenditure on hard copy items. Keep fee earners appraised of new editions etc via our internal communications system
  • Ensure relevant records and spreadsheets are kept up to date

Requirements

  • Experience in using iManage, SharePoint, Visio and Contract Express software is desirable but not essential
  • Experience with AI‑enabled legal technology or knowledge tools is advantageous;
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship skills
  • Ability to perform legal research
  • Excellent time management skills with experience in working to tight reporting deadlines
  • Ability to ensure self-development to remain current in knowledge management affairs
  • Excellent organisational skills and a proven ability to work effectively on own initiative
  • A high level of proficiency with IT business software packages, including all Microsoft 365 applications
  • Ability to adhere to the highest level of confidentiality at all times
