About the role

  • Lead global procurement strategy for Marketing Agencies at Novartis. Managing a spend of approx. USD 800 million and developing a high-performing team in a hybrid role.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the global procurement strategy for Marketing Agencies
  • Manage a global spend of approximately USD 800 million
  • Develop and own the Global Category Strategy
  • Align global strategy with local and regional procurement teams
  • Manage and develop a high-performing team
  • Drive strategic supplier relationships
  • Partner with senior business stakeholders
  • Deliver measurable cost efficiencies and value creation
  • Negotiate and oversee global agreements
  • Provide thought leadership on trends in marketing procurement.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in Procurement
  • Proven track record in Procurement Leadership
  • Demonstrated success in critical negotiations
  • Experience in developing and executing global category strategies
  • People leadership experience
  • Strong background in project and change management.
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
  • Additional languages are a plus.
