About the role

  • Co-op Student supporting brand strategy and marketing programs at Destination BC. Engaging in various projects to enhance brand awareness and partner participation.

Responsibilities

  • Supports in the delivery of Destination BC’s brand marketing and brand strategy programs
  • Conducting desktop research to support the development of annual brand plans
  • Project coordination and contribution on brand strategy projects and integrated brand marketing programs
  • Assists with the planning and delivery of brand strategy and brand marketing projects
  • Supports brand research projects to inform the annual strategic brand planning process
  • Develops communications materials to raise awareness of Destination BC’s brand marketing programs and tourism industry partner opportunities

Requirements

  • Currently working towards a diploma or bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, business, public relations, media studies, or a related field
  • Co-op students must be enrolled in a recognized co-operative education program at an accredited co-op institution
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada for the duration of the co-op term
  • Requires strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Must have familiarity with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Preference for interest in developing project coordination or project management skills.
