Responsibilities

  • Lead policy, political, and advocacy activities and strategy for Northrop Grumman
  • Develop and implement the strategic approach to policy priorities
  • Oversee advocacy strategies and events
  • Manage relationships with key trade associations
  • Identify key policy-related issues and execute strategic approaches
  • Oversee execution of external advocacy-related activities in partnership with diverse stakeholders
  • Manage the company’s political action committee and legislative compliance activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline and minimum of 10+ years’ experience in government relations, legislative branch, or policy-related activities; or a Master's degree and 8 years of experience
  • Background in aerospace and defense-related policy issues and knowledge of the legislative process
  • Proven ability to analyze complex public policy issues and develop legislative strategy in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead a team and establish and maintain strong working relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders
  • Experience communicating with elected officials, senior leaders, and key decision makers
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance.
