About the role

  • Engineer Loads Control optimizing wind turbine control systems and developing new control functions for enhanced performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and ensure system stability in international environments.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a fine-tuning of the wind turbine control system parameters to ensure both stability and best optimization results for the different product configurations and power modes
  • Development and conception of new control functions to improve wind turbine as well as wind farm performance in terms of load reduction and power capture increase
  • Investigate and analyze complex control issues in the fleet and develop corrective actions in close cooperation with various departments in an international environment
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to fulfill Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis for a new control function
  • Collaborate with the modeling and best simulation of the key subsystems, sensors, pitch and yaw actuators in the wind turbine as well as flow effects at wind farm

Requirements

  • MSc /PH.D. degree in Mechanical, Control, Aerospace or Electrical Engineering field
  • Knowledge on Control Design Techniques and Matlab/Simulink
  • Required English (C1), desirable: German, Spanish
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience
  • Availability to Travel
