About the role

• Monitoring Engineer responsible for observability solutions in production environments. Working with tools like Splunk and collaborating with teams to enhance system performance.

Responsibilities

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining observability solutions across non-production and production environments
• Ensuring system health and performance through Splunk, Splunk ITSI, synthetic transaction monitoring, application performance monitoring (APM), and network performance monitoring
• Configuring and managing monitoring tools, primarily Splunk and Splunk ITSI
• Implementing synthetic transaction and APM solutions to proactively detect issues
• Maintaining network performance visibility and alerting
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve observability coverage
• Documenting monitoring standards, configurations, and processes

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years in monitoring/observability roles with hands-on experience in Splunk and ITSI or related tooling
• Strong expertise in Splunk and ITSI
• Familiarity with synthetic monitoring and APM tools
• Understanding of network performance monitoring
• Scripting skills (Python, Shell, PowerShell) are an asset
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation abilities
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Splunk certifications (e.g., Splunk Core Certified Power User, Splunk ITSI Certified) preferred
